Rawalpindi: A seven-year-old girl kidnaped from Bahria Town Rawalpindi about a week earlier has been returned to her parents, Rawalpindi police said on Friday.
The young girl had been kidnaped from outside her house in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi on July 28 by kidnappers on motorcycles. Her parents and family had subsequently taken to social media to appeal for help and information leading to her recovery.
While the campaign obtained intensity on social media, there was no development in the case until August 4, when photos of the little girl and her family circulated on social media accompanied by her parents’ messages that she had returned safely.
The girl was ransomed for 1.5 million Rs, said the police.
The identity of her kidnappers is as still unknown.
