Lords Test, Pakistan beats England

London: Pakistan beat England in Lords Test by 9 wickets.

Azhar Ali and Imam ul Haq started innings in the pursuit of 64 runs scored by England. However, on the total of 12 runs, Azhar Ali got out on James Andreson’s ball. He made four runs. After Azhar Ali’s dismissal, Haris Suhail came to the crease to make a partnership with Imam ul Haq. Both the players showed a tremendous bating performance and achieved victory for the team. Haris Suhail ended the match by hitting a four. Haris Suhail scored 39 runs for 32 balls, whereas Imam ul Haq scored 18 runs. Both the players remained unbeaten.

After winning, Sarfraz Ahmed, captain of the national team said that it is true that our team consisted of young players, but as we play, pride on the team and especially young boys. Furthermore, Sarfraz Ahmed said that the bowlers bowled on a good line and length which brought good results. Bowling coach worked hard at the players, he praised. He said that they played a good game against Ireland which was also beneficial for them in England.

On the other hand, PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi congratulated the nation on a historic win against England. Najam Sethi also congratulated captain Sarfraz Ahmed, Head coach Mickey Arthur, and other coaches.
