Islamabad: PM Abbasi claimed that PML-N led govt had significantly decreased inflation from 7.75% in 2013 to 3.77% in 2018.
Today, PM Abbasi was comparing the recent economic situation with that in 2013. While addressing a press conference along with Finance Minister and Minister for State Marriyum Aurangzeb, the PM showed statistics for different economic indicators. The press conference had held in the federal capital, Islamabad. PM Abbasi noticed that foreign direct investment (FDI), per capita income, total investments, and capital markets had all raised up since the PML-N came to power. Furthermore, the premier claimed that his govt had remarkably lessened inflation from 7.75% in 2013 to 3.77% in 2018.
Moreover, PM Abbasi said that agricultural credits have increased Rs259 bn in 2013 to Rs756bn today. He also pointed out that production of important crops including wheat, maize, sugarcane and rice has also risen during this tenure. While the govt is making efforts to reconsider the production of cotton. He further said that regardless of export challenges, the present government had managed to bring them to the same levels as they were in 2013.
Furthermore, Abbasi said that both the public and private investments have also increased during this period. Since the PML-N came to power, the per capita income has encountered a 23% increase, PM noted.
