Government to present mini-budget today

Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umar on Wednesday will present mini-budget in the Parliament.

The mini-budget is expected to increase import duty by 10pc on 1800cc cars. The mini-budget will also increase the tax on importing expensive mobiles.

This will would be the second mini-budget by the PTI government. The first budget was presented in September by the new government.

PM Imran Khan has summoned the cabinet meeting to discuss the upcoming mini-budget. Khan has also summoned PTI parliamentary meeting for discussion on the mini-budget.
All the PTI members are directed to be present in today’s parliamentary session. Where discussion on Sahiwal incident is also expected. The government will present the measures taken in Sahiwal incident.
