Justice Asif Saeed Khosa was the head of the bench. He remarked: “Based on merit the review petition is dismissed.”

The petitioner Qari Muhammad Saleem lawyer Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhry said that the decision of Aasia’s acquittal is a matter concerning Ulema so they should be summoned to share their point of view.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa further said: “ Does Islam say that one should be punished if the crime is not proven.”

The three-judge bench dismissed the petition and freed Aasia from all allegations.

Earlier the security of the Capital was on high alert to respond to an alarming situation. Rangers and paramilitary personals were deployed in the Judges Colony, Minister Enclave, and Diplomatic Enclave.
